A holiday fair supported by Go Places travel guide that is designed to publicise and sell the enormous variety of alternative holiday options now available in Kenya. Specifically it targets students, young adults and the young-of-heart who enjoy the challenge of getting closer to nature in the raw. ADVENTURE, LEISURE & SPORTS EXPO ‘06 takes in all aspects of eco-tourism, back-packing and camping, youth-hostels and home-stays, bike-trekking, mountain and rock-climbing, white-water rafting, water skiing, sailing, surfing, scuba-diving and fishing, bird watching, wildlife expeditions, golf, deep-sea fishing, rod and trout fishing, motor sports and rallying among other activities. There is space, too, for beach hotels and lodges to offer the traditional leisure getaways for the eight-week July/August break --- for let’s face it, most senior members of today’s society welcome the break and the chance to put their feet up and relax! There is a special offer to CBOs and other organizations (but not members) which are registered with the Ecotourism Society of Kenya which can apply for a 50% discount on the stand fee for ADVENTURE, LEISURE & SPORTS EXPO ’06 which brings the cost down to just Shs. 24,221. There will be not less than 10,000 visitors to the three-day event, and ex-stand and immediate follow-up sales of holiday bookings for the July-August school holiday period will be significant. Equally the event will provide an opportunity to publicize the unusual, off-the-beaten-track camp sites, community lodges and other simple accommodation options and ecotourism experiences that most Kenyan residents don’t know about. Make the decision to have your organization, lodge, hotel, business represented at ADVENTURE, LEISURE & SPORTS EXPO ’06 without delay, fill in and e-mail back the booking form (PDF document). There is already strong interest in the event and an early decision may still get you a prominent stand.
